If you've been wondering how to take screenshots with Linux, an easy way to do it is with KDE's screen capture utility KSnapshot.

When KSnapshot is started, it automatically takes a screenshot of the entire desktop area.

If the screenshot looks OK in the preview window, hit the "Save" button to save it to disk with the default filename.
